Who Should UFC Star Jorge Masvidal Fight Next? Super Necessary or Not?

Jorge Masvidal is currently one of the biggest stars in the UFC. He hasn’t fought since April when he fought Kamaru Usman and suffered a loss due to KO.  There are people that everyone wants to see him fight, but there are also people no one wants to see him fight after he fights Leon Edwards. Which of these fights are super necessary, and which ones aren’t?

Gilbert Burns?

Gilbert Burns has made some hints on social media that he might be fighting Masvidal next. I don’t think this fight would be very good. I think it would just be the Burns vs. Wonderboy fight all over again. It would probably just be Burns holding Jorge down the entire time. I really don’t think this fight is super necessary.

Nate Diaz?

Masvidal vs. Diaz was one of the best fights I’ve seen. It ended due to doctor’s stoppage in between the 3rd and 4th round. Afterwards Masvidal said, “I didn’t baptize Nate, run it back.” I think this fight needs to happen before they both retire. This fight is 100% super necessary.

Michael Chiesa?

In 2013, Michael Chiesa suffered a loss due to a D’arce choke by Gamebred. Because of this, I don’t think this fight is super necessary.

Colby Covington?

This one is a tough one. Covington and Masvidal used to be friends. I would like to see this fight, but I don’t think it is super necessary.

Stephen Thompson?

Yes, Wonderboy and Gamebred faced each other in the octagon in 2017. Wonderboy won by unanimous decision. Jorge has said on multiple occasions that he would like to fight him again.

In conclusion, there are a lot of fights that the UFC needs to make happen right now. Unfortunately, all of these won’t happen, but maybe we will get at least one.
