What is Next for UFC 269 Fighters?

UFC 269 was no question an amazing night. There were some amazing moments for some fighters, and some extreme upsets with others. Either way it was still a great night.

This leads us to the question, what is next for the UFC 269 fighters. So in this article, we will cover what is next for Sean O’Malley, Juliana Peña, Amanda Nunes, Dustin Porier, and Charles Oliveira.

Sean O’Malley

At UFC 269, Sean O’Malley knocked out Raulian Paiva in the first round. Earlier, that night Dominick Cruz beat Pedro Munhoz. Frankly, I think that Sean O’Malley should fight Dominick Cruz next. I think that O’Malley is trying to build his brand before fighting people that are ranked, and people are really going after him for that. So this might be a good fight for Sugar Sean O’Malley considering there could be a good lead up to the fight and it might get Sean into the top 10 if he wins.

Juliana Peña

Peña shocked the world with her win over Amanda Nunes. I am still shook about how she submitted her. But normally they give the former champ another chance after losing. I think Amanda Nunes should get another chance.

Amanda Nunes

Well, I just said this, but I think she should fight Peña. I think if “the lioness” could get her head back in the game, she might have a chance to get the belt back. The only issue with this is, Amanda might not want the belt back.

Dustin Porier

As I said before, there were some amazing moments for fighters, and there were some extreme upsets. In this case, it was an extreme upset. Porier lost the fight with Oliveira due to submission. Dustin tapped out in the third round after winning the first round and losing the second round. Porier has a few options here. He could go up to Welterweight or he could stay at Lightweight. I think that he should go up to Welterweight and fight Nate Diaz as his Welterweight debut.

Charles Oliveira

Charles Oliveira cannot be doubted anymore. He is clearly the champ. Now, who is next? I think it is Justin Gaethje. Justin recently beat Michael Chandler who lost to Oliveira. So, he proved that he deserves a title shot.

UFC 269 was a crazy night. I hope that some good things come out of last night.
